Anne Marie McCandless is an associate attorney at Gibson Law Group. She was born and raised in Lancaster and is a proud alumni of J.P. McCaskey. She earned her undergraduate degree from University of Pittsburgh and has worked with Anne & Eric since 2016 after also earning a post-baccalaureate certificate in Paralegal Studies from HACC. While working as a paralegal at Gibson Law Group, she attended law school in the evenings and earned her Juris Doctor from Widener Commonwealth Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude.
During law school, she served on Widener's Law Review and competed in the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition where she advanced to the round of sixteen. She also interned for the Lancaster County Public Defender's office where she was able to gain valuable litigation skills. Additionally, she served as a teacher's assistant in legal research and writing. She also was awarded four Cali awards for earning the highest grades in Family Law, Estate Planning, Pre-Trial Methods and Contracts.
Her extensive experience working alongside Anne and Eric over the last decade has provided her with a strong foundation of legal experience which has prepared her to effectively assist clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support, as well as estate planning and legal name changes.
In her free time, Anne Marie enjoys spending time with her husband, Will, and going on runs with her dog, Zeke.
